I'm intrigued about their reasoning: do they go technology-less for coherence or is their fear striclty limited to vaccines? Do you know exactly how the tracking works in their mind? (I mean no offense, I just like conspiracy theories and have a friend whose parents also mildly believe this, I'm interested in comparing the two sets)
I’ve talked to a lot of people about the vaccine but have yet to meet anyone who actually believes in the microchip. Mostly it’s saltiness on the Trump/Biden aspect of the whole thing.
My pal's parents say it's for permanent geoloalisation, but thought the same of masks so they got the vaccine anyway. I've also seen some argue that the vaccine inoculates you with methyl dioxide (unsure), simply to turn you into a 5G receptor.
I never get a good answer out of them. My dad will storm off and my mom just says they don't want to be tracked. When I ask her about Alexa and their cell phones tracking them, she said they'd "actually never thought of that." The next time I came over, they had thrown away their Echo.

They still have their cell phones though? And now my mom misses setting timers with Alexa.

Their concern is definitely not tied to any rational part of their minds. They generally think Biden stole the election and Jesus is going to return soon, so that means this is the biblical End Times, and society is about to collapse, and the Tribulation is going to begin. It's really stressful for them, and they don't know how to cope. I feel bad for them and I don't know what to do :(
,
They refuse to meet their own grandson (my newborn son) because I asked they be vaccinated or quarantine before seeing him because he doesn't have an immune system yet. Not because of the novel coronavirus, specifically.
They lost their minds and have now labeled me as One Of Them. I've been trying to say they can meet him outside if they wear masks, or accommodate them some other way, but they haven't responded.
I am so sorry to hear this. I'm also generally speaking at a loss towards these theories because it doesn't rely on anything that can be proven or not. I get it's like living on two parallel planes, they're probably equally frustrated that we don't see what's obvious for them, which is a huge part of my fascination.
It's sad it's impacting your family bond. I can only hope that your son will get to meet them at least at some point.
