Ironically this was done by the Liberal Party of Australia (that's their conservative party, their left wing party is the Labor Party). If only the dogs had guns to defend themselves...
I do not care who is liberal or conservative in other countries. The words have no meaning as far as comparing nations goes.
What matters is liberty and oppression. Clearly, Australia in general is trending even further towards the latter than usual.
Australia at this point basically has a "not so hidden" shadow council that is just the corporations. It's like they saw America's corporation based political corruption and said "we can do that but bigger."
Their equivalent of a president took a long ass vacation in Hawaii when their big bush fire stuff happened and he's probably still going to get another term because he advances corporate interests
@famousone you seem to care a lot who is liberal and conservative in every other post...I guess it's only when it suits your poorly constructed argument that it matters.
No, just in regards to my own country. American conservatism isn't British, Indian, Syrian, Australian, Iraqi, French, German, or any other nation's conservatism. Ditto for American liberalism.
There may be some similarities, maybe even common talking points. But it ain't the same, and there is no bearing on one nation's "liberal" or "conservative" to another's.
For instance, American conservatism is based on the American constitution and American values.
Just like Japanese liberalism is based on their own government, legal systems, and values.
This is in NSW, where they are having their first lockdown and are not coping well, after a week, they complained, two weeks, crying about business closing, when Victoria (where I am), have gone 200+ days of lockdown. Reading that, they say it's their "interpretation" of the lockdown, but it's not made clear what it is. More likely I'd say someone read it as an excuse to want to fire their gun again and kill animals.
