The only difference I see is in one the inmates know they run the jail, in the other, those clueless kids don't know half the power the hold if they all rebeled or went on strike. With tools like social media, they could rebel so bad that the dress code would change from ' no exposed bra straps and no hats' to ' literally everyone, staff included, must dress up as a Disney character unless they are in gym, then everyone dresses as Gaston.' in about a week.
And then you take away their access to social media (which children shouldn't have in the first place) because you're a parent and kids don't actually get to have this power unless you're an absolute failure at your job
It's the feds who decided to treat kids like inmates. Same way it's the feds who are trying to keep parents out of classrooms and schools since they've started realizing what the AG's son has been forcing them to teach.
