I think this stuff is subjective. In America there is a version of the birthday song that I am most familiar with that goes: “happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear <name>, happy birthday to you…”
But there is a version of this that goes: “Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, you look like a donkey (or I’ve heard monkey as well as other animals), and you smell like one too…”
Of course there are all sorts of variations and people add little extra parts on the end that can be a bit mean or teasing.
People also make their own versions- I once heard a version that went: “You’re another year older a year closer to death, so happy happy birthday ‘cause it could be your laaaast…”
