Despise, revere? I am averse. That is to say, one of the greatest cookies I’ve ever had was one of these monsters here. The problem is that the majority of cookies like this I’ve eaten are among the worst cookies I’ve ever had.
I’ve had amazing chocolate chip cookies. Transcendent snicker doodles and sugar cookies that make me hungry just thinking about them.
There are some plain, dry, even flavorless cookies in the world as well as cookies that just taste like diabetes. That said- unless you don’t like chocolate, the chocolate chip cookie is an example of a cookie that has to be pretty bad to not at least be ok.
With these I’ve only had the one ever that was anything but a freaking piece of drywall infused with sugar or worse. That one cookie was good enough that I’d take a risk on eating one of these to get another one like that one I once had, but most of the time given the choice I’ll pass for a safer cookie.
