I've noticed most of the hate is on the Internet though. Where people can just hide behind a keyboard. If you go out in the real world there's some really nice people, like me. I'm a nice guy.
"Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one"
My only issue is from all the wars and fighting that has come from religion. If all religions worked together or agreed on more than 1 thing, it would be amazing, but it ends up being held back by overly corrupt people, usually in a religious ground of some sort.
Humans are naturally meant to have differing opinions. If somehow everyone magically agreed on everything, or indeed anything, it could only come from some sort of coercion.
That's what I meant. Human beings are naturally opinionated bastards. I don't just mean opinions as in who to vote for or which Justin Beiber CD is the best (lols) but also that the natural tendency for humans is individualism and self-preservation. This is why, almost without fail, communism has never worked in human history. Short of drugs or lobotomies, essentially creating zombies, there is no way an appreciable number of humans will ever agree with each other.
Not as I see it. We are meant to eat and drink. We are meant to breathe oxygen. I assume your question is WHO means for us to be like that? Semantics, I suppose. I mean it's in our DNA; our natural programming. Whether you believe in a creator or luck, we have the instinct at an almost molecular level. Whether God meant for us; whether nature meant for us; whether it was the flying spaghetti monster I don't know.
Sure. Not completely sure what the question is. I simply mean that's how we are put together. If you believe in creation, that's how we were intelligently designed. If you believe the big bang, that's how we evolved; probably a mechanism to aid in hunting and defending the tribe from invaders or something.
Can't really say why I used that particular word; it just wrote itself. I write a lot of papers and "average" wording gets boring after awhile, I guess.
Yes.... but why does that lead to killing people. (I am not really agruing againist wars in general, just reiterating a question that was never well answered)
Humans have a natural tendancy to disagree about things. And this isn't a bad thing in its own right. If the natural tendancy was to always agree with the things you've been taught, we would never have advancement.
And we have the capability to disagree peacefully. People aren't for example often killed for political party affiliations (in the United states. Though other places too for the most part I would think )
I would probably even argue that most wars are fought over resources with religion used as a justification. (Because as a government you can't be like, they have the stuff, and we want to stuff, and if we kill them we get the stuff. I mean really what are you saying to your people)
Unfortunately humans also have the natural tendency to be assholes. I don't really think religion is even the actual root, seems there should be a deeper explanation for why religion is so important to some people. I'm sure there's some sort of evolutionary explanation for such aggressive behavior - survival instinct, eliminating anyone that might be a rival or threat, or some such BS. We're not animals though; it's sad we can't just agree to disagree and go on with life.
"Yes.... but why does that lead to killing people."
There are a lot of reasons, some more justified than others. Just look what starts individual wars.
Problem: The "other men"referred to in Islam applies only to other Muslims. For infidels, anything is OK, including rape, pedophilia, and slavery. Look it up. You may not like this information, but that doesn't make it wrong.
