I've heard vegans insist every creature should be vegan??? Do they realize if every creature was vegan the streets would run with shit and squirrels and animals would starve to death left and right????
If a mammal has canines and incisors designed to cut and tear flesh, like humans and wolves for example, it eats meat. The same goes for molars and premolars. If they have sharp ridges like a cat's, they're also designed for eating meat. If the molars are flat like ours, they're designed for eating plants. Dogs have molars and premolars that have both ridges and flat areas, showing these teeth are used for both purposes, unlike they're wolf ancestors which have purely carnivorous dentition. If a mammal, such as a cat, has purely carnivorous teeth it is usually very bad to deny them of their natural food source.
Totally a meat eater, I love chicken the most but, I say as long as the animal is healthy and gets all it needs from it's food than who cares if it does or doesn't have meat in it. I mean have you seen the ingredients in most pet food? It isn't all that great to began with.

It depends on the pet!
If it is a cat or a dog than that's animal abuse hands down. Goes the same for any animal that needs meat.
But if it is a rabbit, than it's fine to let it eat a vegan diet, as long as you make sure it's earring a vegan diet that is also in line with what rabbits should be eatting.
How do any of you know are any of you vets? Does a single one of you have any degree to work with animals? No I don't think so. So why down vote me for speaking the truth? Do you know what a lot of people feed dogs in starving countries? Rice and beans but you don't yell WHAT NO MEAT YOU MONSTER! So chill because like I said if the dog is healthy and gets all it needs from it's food WHO THE FUCK CARES! Besides an all meat diet is how animals not only get worms but they get fat.
Roflmfao o hell no read up above I am not a vegan. I love bacon, chicken, stake, I will eat cow, chicken, pig, fish, and turkey. But I do not see a problem with what a vegan feeds their animals BECAUSE I had to put a cat on a vegan diet due to the animal being WAY over weight, She was giving to us from a family member who said she was told by a vet either put her on a diet or we will take her for animal cruelty. So (unnamed bitch cousin) decided to kill it. BUT I found out and said I will take her. I got that cat down to the right weight over one summer. By getting it to exercise and put it on a vegan diet. We took it to the vet every two weeks to watch it's improvement. The vet said the cat was healthier than it has ever been. SO ATLEAST I KNOW WHAT I AM SAYING!

Just because people in third world countries can't feed their pets doesn't mean we cant feed our dogs meat.
And your cats? Most likely fed table sweets and foods not recommended for their diet.
So mrscollector are YOU a vet? The cat was put on that diet to lose weight. Once it was at its healthy weight I'm sure the vet wouldn't want it to lose even more weight so it should have went back to a regular feline diet
Actually the vet was so happy with how the cat was doing he asked us to keep it on the diet and we even began to feed our other cats of the same diet. All we did was not have the cat exercise as much as it did. The cat went from going to die at 6 years to living till it was 15.
O and no it wasn't fed sweets and food it wasn't suppose to eat. They just bought normal food that any one feeds their cat. My fat ass cousin would never share food with her own kid why you think her cat will get any. And no the kid didn't do it. He was an adult when she had the cat.
Cats can actually go blind from a vegan diet due to lack of certain proteins found in meats and fish. If you do you have to give them a shit load of expensive supplements (have fun giving your cat pills or liquid meds everyday) AND go to the vet WEEKLY for urine testing to ensure everything is balanced.
So please DO NOT put your cat or dog on a vegan or veggie diet. They are carnivores with some room for vegetation. They have a lot of trouble digesting plant matter also.
O and by the way no I am not a vet but I DID work in a vet for 5 years. And I am a person who ask questions and love to learn. I made sure to learn all I could while working there. Because I did want to be a vet. But my life didn't work out that way. But I have a chance to be my second choice so it isn't to bad. But this is why I am continually arugeing about this. I have seen animals on a vegan diet and it is not as bad as people make it. Now try tell me a lion needs to eat only vegan diet I say you are NUTS
I don't know about cats but dogs can be 100% vegans and be fine... my friend's dog is allergic to meat so they have to feed him vegan dogs food, wich can be found in almost all pets stores and it gets all the nutriments and proteines a dog needs to be healty.
