Colorado has made shitloads off of the legalization of weed.

I somehow doubt that the "potheads" who would be a burden to society would have the means to move to a new state, in some cases across the country, just to get access to legal pot. If they were such a bad element they would stay where they are and buy it illegally like everyone else was up until a few years ago.

I'm Dutch. Not many potheads moving here. Cannabis has been legal, like, forever. Drug related deaths are among the lowest in the world. There has been an insurgence of weed tourists though, and the tolerance policy is toppling over, because at one point tourists were buying more weed than the Dutch.

From what I was reading tobacco smoke and weed smoke do similar things to your health. One of the differences Between the two is how long weed smokers tend to hold a puff vs a tobacco smoker. Weed smokers tend to hold it in longer depositing more tar into there lungs. That's not to say cigarettes have more harmful substances in them bevause they are so processed but either way you are inhaling smoke to get a drug into your system.

There's many ways to use marijuana than just smoke it also
