They both have negative affects on Healthcare systems that everyone's taxes continue to. Like increasing wait times in regency rooms because you've chosen to do something dangerous to your health, and now the car crash victims are waiting for one of you to go first. So they both affect other people.

Agreed. Why is this seen as ok? It's just as bad as anorexia! I PERSONALLY think she's vile and shouldn't be promoting such an unhealthy physique. You get people moaning that catwalk models are too thin and should be banned, well guess what! THIS is just as bad! And please please PLEASE don't call her curvy! She's not. She's fat. Simple as that. Beyonce is curvy. Katy Perry is curvy. This isn't curvy.
I have a close friend who is deaf and even though most people are kind to him every once in a while he gets a rude gesture. At a parent teacher conference with his daughter (who can hear) one of the other parents said deaf people shouldn't drive
Sure, they're fat, but no need to insult or ridicule. This whole "body positivity and acceptance" movement started up because y'all have been ridiculing them. You don't insult a leper. You don't make fun of cancer patients. And even if they're a drug addict, you help them. You don't hate on them. They're victims.
Fat people aren't victims. It's self inflicted. McDonald's isn't putting a gun to their heads and forcing them to eat! And using the word victim implies that their situation is out of their hands and they're not responsible for how they are. People are responsible for themselves. The difference between women like her and Molly on the street is that other women list to the rubbish that the woman above spouts out of her gob like it's gospel. And it's not right. She shouldn't be encouraging women or anyone for that matter to live an unhealthy lifestyle and put their bodies under such stress and strain. Yes! Love yourself AS YOU ARE but TRY to be healthy! Being fat is NOT a good thing. Ask any Doctor! It comes with such huge health risks! If she was an anorexic or a bulimic and she was encouraging people to starve themselves, you'd be singing a different tune, I guarantee it.
We are encouraging people to starve themselves, as much as you claim some encourage people to let themselves go. It is an addiction, and we should not treat it as much else.

Are you fucking serious? Starve themselves? No that's retarded and an ignorant statement. We're telling people to get fit, get healthy. Not "Hay starve yourself". Dumbest thing I've heard. No anti-fat acceptance has ever said someone should starve themselves.

Thank you! I was just about to reply when I saw yours. Being fat has nothing to do with addiction, it's to do with having fuck all willpower. And yes, she IS encouraging an unhealthy lifestyle. By becoming a model and putting herself in the spotlight and saying "I'm fat and I'm proud of it!" She's supporting it! She's trying to make herself into a role model, which is terrible! Do you really want your kids looking at her and saying "when I grow up I want to look like her!" ??
I would be celebrating the upper part so badly, that I'd need the lower part afterwards. Lol.

i've said it many times over. you shouldn't feel ashamed for being fat, but by no means you should be proud of it. be comfortable and lose the weight at your own pace, but do not have pride in how unhealthy you are and make it worse. with the exception of a vary rare few, YOU made you this way. you may have had enablers, but in the end this was your fault. stop blaming everyone else for this. stop forcing others to change due to your mistakes. this is on you, and no one else.
I am all for being proud of who we are and body acceptance. Everyone should be able to embrace their flaws and make peace with them. I would, however, like to point out that, aside from being extremely unhealthy, being morbidly obese (let's call a spade a spade) is also perceived as the epitome of gluttony. And contrary to popular belief, it does affect those around you as it also comes with a plethora of side effects that might not be entirely obvious to the individual. Depression, mood swings, constant exhaustion (which from experience I can tell you will affect your work performance). Type 2 diabetes is a very real and very serious side effect of obesity, one I feel doesn't get taken seriously enough. And with this comes doctors visits, expensive medication, new glasses every two years most likely and irreparable nerve damage. I don't know if anyone really understands how terrifying nerve damage is. The fact that being obese doesn't look nice is so far from being the point.
I think the point should be that we shouldn't insult, discriminate or ridicule people for being overweight, however, we should not promote in any way possible that this is healthy for the individual. We should be considerate and fair in how we treat them, while helping them better themselves.
In my opinion we shouldn't celebrate obesity, just as much as we shouldn't celebrate anything else that could cause bodily harm but we should be accepting of plus-size people. Obesity and being a large person are two very different things.
Fat people.... alot of the time it is enviromental. People do not excervise because they are lazy and dont want to change their diet. Or because they have a desk job and use the excuse that theyre too tired to work out everyday.
But also take into account that sometimes yes it is genetic (most often than we think). Some people do not produce a certain hormone that helps them regulate their metabolism. Or the hormone that signals "im full i should stop."
Last factor is it can also be a mental issue. Breaking away from a mental chain is hard.
All in all the thre factors listed above that cause obesity are all labled as "issues." Therefore they shouldnt be celebrated or ridiculed. We should try to find a solution to each.
Wow what a bunch of judgmental jerks here. If it were an anorexic there would be pity, if it was a handicapped person you would be supportive the list goes on. Thin people freak some out, repulsive to others as well. I know people who have died from second hand smoke, never from second hand fat. Everyone does something unhealthy, its just that not everyone is judging others like this. Get over yourselves. I'd take fat over ignorant any day.
I hear you other guest, people on this site are judgemental ass holes who like to pretend they're all excepting and forward thinking but still bash people for various reasons.
She's lovely, and she actually exercises everyday she has a personal trainer. I follow both on Instagram. But y'all would rather make fun of her than actually know or believe that. You're "concern" for her is fake af you hate that she's allowed to exist.
Ummm, no. No one hates that she exists. We're just acknowledging the health problems that come with being obese

Exactly @sincere_milkshake
And unless she eats healthily as well as exercising, her having a personal trainer is pointless. What you eat and how much you eat affects your body a lot more than exercise. Glorifying obesity is not a good thing.
From what I've read from her and about her shes never been like "Hey young people its okay to be this size, its fine you're fine." She's always just been like "It's okay to love yourself" which is a major difference.

She's promoting normalisation of obesity. If she were bulimic and saying "it's ok to be super skinny! Jut out that ribcage!" She'd be condemned.
No-one that size can be healthy. There's no way someone can naturally be a size 20+
But she's never said "Hey its okay to be this size, its okay to be obese" so making a comparison like that is dumb. She's not promoting anything just by existing, she's only said that you should love yourself which believe it or not it's okay for anyone of any size to love themselves whether you want them to or not. I'm just saying not everything is black and white self love isn't reserved for skinny people and no one is promoting anything you're literally putting words in her mouth
Also, it's okay for someone to ask me "why are you so skinny" & say " you need to eat more" but not okay when I ask why they are so fat or that they need to eat less. Merica

Not just 'Merica. Same over here in the UK. I always get shit for being slim and tiny (4'10 and 7 stone) and I'm like "WTF I do eat ya know!"
Fuck it, smoke, eat and do whatever you want we're all going to die one day, might as well live the life you want and stop giving a shit what people think

Fuck it, why whipe my ass it's going to get dirty when i take a shit again anyways. Fuck it, why clean my house it's just going to get dirty again. Fuck it, why take my meds when i'm just going to get sick again. Fuck it, why go to the hospital for my broken arm if it can just get broken again. Your argument is bad and you should feel bad, anus.
Agreed. No need to shame overweight people. But if someone is obese bc of overesting then is not oK. Not healthy. And when you get older peoole have to take care of you. Don't make it harder on them
Too bad nowadays it does effect everyone. People like this demand disabled parking, scooters, and entire stores just for them. They claim their doctors are wrong and still ask that tax dollars pay for their Healthcare even though it's their fault they're unhealthy
@eaweber the mentality of "of it doesn't directly affect you" does not work today in society. It effects everyone. If my little sibling saw this and said "she's pretty I can be fat and pretty" and then they let themselves become overweight, it now directly affects me. Same thing happened when my little sister watched Biggest Loser. She thought she had to be skinny and started eating very little to be skinny. Do you know how unhealthy that is for a child? My grandmother sees a lot of older ladies looking really skinny now a days and thinks she needs to as well. She has been getting seizures and has had a stroke because she starves herself to maintain her image. It may not affect you directly right now, but it's better to be proactive then reactive.
There are all these fat activists around telling people that being fat is normal and healthy, when it's not. You choose what you put into your body, and lifestyle that you follow. In my opinion if you're morbidly obese and doing nothing about it, then you're choosing to be fat.
We all gonna die dummy. Some of us would rather enjoy smoking and large women with the trade off. Some of us would rather be haters on funsubstance forever. Let them sleeping dogs lie
But also take into account that sometimes yes it is genetic (most often than we think). Some people do not produce a certain hormone that helps them regulate their metabolism. Or the hormone that signals "im full i should stop."

But then they choose to stay that way, and pretend it's okay, instead of doing something to change it.
