Superman always came off as too much of a Mary Sue character for me. Like, what's the point of even reading his comics when his power is so off the charts that you know he's going to win anyway? But what I DO like about superman is the human part of him, when he acts like a good natured person without using his abilities.

The wrong hands, Superman is a Mary Sue. The best Superman stories involve him having to restrain himself or using the other aspects of his powers. My two personal favorite Supes stories are "Superman vs. The Elite" and "All-Star Superman." In "Elite" he's pushed to his moral and physical breaking point, and "All-Star" shows him using his superior intellect and knowledge. He often acts the fulcrum in the JLA, balancing out the homicidal Wonder Woman and vengeful Batman, too. The Snyder movies suck though.

In all star he was hyper powered thus his intellect was hyper powered too. It also happens to be a non-canon storyline. I do love the fact that he dies at the end though.

Foggy Nelson. Tony Stark doesn't always remember you're not the maid.

I think maybe the bigger problem is that we all want Deadpool but complain when there's kevlar scraps everywhere and lipstick on the mirror.

I'd happily take that to have a Lady Deadpool in my life. Sassy, foul mouthed... good with a gun? Where do I sign up?

I agree with you? But I'd like to point out I wasn't talking about Lady Deadpool. You all have seen him in action. You can NOT tell me he doesn't practice kissy faces in/on the mirror.

Smallville's red kryptonite Superman was no doubt the best one. He's the one you want to party with. He'd probably bail, ditch you and leave you to die... but so worth it.

No, Clark Kent is super attractive, dresses well, and has a nice build, and obviously has Superman's personality since he's Superman. Plus he's got a steady job. Clark Kent would get snapped right up in real life. The kind of person who'd use this quote is trying to equate socially awkward/creepy vibe dudes with Clark Kent. You don't get walked past just because you wear glasses and are quiet, or you're a little more "plain," you get walked past because there's something about you that turns lots of people off.
