5) if moss grows on the south side, the tree indicates which side is north and which is south... the fire shows the direction the wind is going... so it's coming from the north then? I think?
I went by the sun goes east to west and it looks like they are having either lunch or dinner and the shadow of the kid cooking is to the left of him so the wind is coming from the north.
Moss grows on all sides of everything. However, the sun in casting a long shadow so it can only be morning or evening. Since they'll all up dressed and are/have been doing various activities they must have been up for a while this would make it supper he's preparing. Since the Sun sets in the West his shadow must be East. That means the wind is blowing South, so it's coming from the North.
Actually depending on which hemisphere you're in, the side with the larger amount of moss will change. In the northern hemispheres grows (majority) on the north side of the trees. And visa versa.
1) based on the duty list...
2) I don't know how you got 35? I based it being a few days because of the spider web
3) a row boat based on the paddles
4)The chicken and lack of supplies is a good indicator
5) explained above
6) The shadow shows it is afternoon...
7) good job spotting that net actually...
8) How did you get Bob?
9) Once again... how...?
I actually think 8) is Alex, since he has the highest duty count... and 9) I just guessed. It's obviously not winter or early spring since there is a butterfly around and the bushes have leaves.
Can't be Bob cause he's got the camera. His pack has the camera tripod sticking out of it. This means Peter is cooking making it Kevin who was on duty yesterday.
1: 4 (list of names)
2: few days ago (spiderweb)
3: by river (ores)
4: no (you don't get wild chickens)
5: from the north
6: evening
7: catching butterflies
8: bob (a few days meaning 3 he's 3rd on the list)
9: October 9th (pumpkins are in season in October and there's a 9 next to bob's name)
Based on them being fir trees and the people wearing long trousers and long sleeve tops I'd say the climate is wrong for water melons. But perfect for a North American sunny October day.
1. 4
(Kevin, Peter, Bob, Alex. We see 3 names Alex is covered by the bush)
2. Few says ago

5. Coming from North
(The sun goes east to west and it looks like they are having either lunch or dinner and the shadow of Peter is to the left of him so the wind is coming from the north. And pushing the fire to point to the south.)
6. Afternoon
(If it was noon the shadows be circles under them. If morning the shadows be to the right of Peter.)
7. He is in the bushes catching butterflies.
(He is the only one not seen and you can see a net trying to catch a butterfly.)
8. Kevin
(Due to the letters on the bags. K is Kevin and he is going trough his bag. B for Bob and his bag looks like it has a camera stand in it and there is a kid holding a camera. And Alex we find out is in the bushes so only Peter is left. Ao he is on duty today which means going by the list Kevin was yesterday.)
9. August 8th
(I think the numbers on the paper next to the names is the day they switch turns and it is Peters day so the 8th, Augest because they look young like kids so probably in school. So could only go camping for 4 days in summer. But they are wearing sweaters and long pants so it must be close to fall so August.Which is also known for one of the last months to get watermelons.)

9. Too many variables ascertain a correct date without making assumptions that may or may not be true. The numbers on the duty list may correspond to a date or just be the number of days they are there. They could be wearing pants and long sleeves because the sun is setting and the temperature difference where they are at is more than 20 degrees F. So even if it was a hot day they could be experiencing a cold sensation even though the actual temperature is relatively comfortable if you hadn't been out in the hot sun all day. You have a watermelon which typically is in season from May to September depending on your location. Lack of leaves on the ground could mean fall has yet to arrive or there are only evergreens nearby or the artist just didn't draw them. As I said too many variables.
