If your dad left you as a kid (like mine did) it's probably best he wasn't around. As Veronica Mars says "the hero is the one who stays. The villain is the one who splits."
And now I am crying because september 4th be the one year anniversary of my Dad passing away.
I miss him more than anything and I would give up everything just for 1 more day with him.
He was a real life Super Hero who didn't wear a cape.
I miss my dad. I was 14 when he died. Its been 37 years, and it still feels like yesterday. Being daddies girl was the best thing ever. Just as I got to appreciate him, he died. Its why I make sure my daughter and hubby go out for coffee together frequently. Treasure those prescious days....
I grew up adoring my parents. My Dad passed away but my Mom is still alive. But right now is fighting cancer.
My husband grew up never understanding why his parents didn't love him
He is a good man, father, husband, and was a good son.
It was both them that was fucked up. They hated all their kids. They both had son's from a past marriage and didn't tell him till he was in Jr. High.
They would lie and steal from him. Dad is a pain pill addict.
Mom is uncaring self asorbed idiot. She thinks her bf is cia and he has jewels and cash in other countries but can't get them or a drug lord will kill him. She also is a end of the worlder. They say stuff like the
My husband's parents were mentally abusive and his Dad was physically abusive.
Days after we met they tried to get him to marry me so they be rid of him.
They thought they pawn him off on me so they don't have to take care of him.
I am glad to because he is a water lilly that grew out of pond scum.
And my parents ADORE HIM!!!! My Dad called him son.
My husband cried he said it was this first time he felt loved when someone called him son.
My Mom calls to wish him happy birthday.
His own parents haven't called in 5 years.
So look for someone that will love you so much that you will not miss your family. Even if they are not close or bad people.
Some parents were never ment to be parents.
Some were born ready to be them.
I would have liked to have had a dad to have fun with... :(
