Whether I'm for or against weed, there's some key logic to keep in mind here:
If you take something illegal, and make it legal, of course crime will drop.
And if you decide that children lying to you isn't deserving of a spanking, then the number of spankings will decrease.
That doesn't change their behavior, it's fudging statistics to say what you want.
Sorry to disagree, in all European countries where drugs were either legalised or decriminalised, the behaviour in terms of drug use changed as the number of drug users dropped significantly.
Yet another evidence for the forbidden fruit tasting the sweetest.
*coughs* prohibition *coughs*
(Plus weed is less dangerous than alcohol btw)

During Prohibition, alcohol-related crimes and violence saw a significant decline.
When Prohibition was repealed, alcohol use (and related crime) rose to higher levels than before Prohibition.
Well then, if you're gonna compare the times of prohibition with today. Just think about the education level and health awareness of those days. Like horse blood was meant to be medicine. And directly after repealing a prohibition, this is rather obvious. The mid and long term is giving away the real picture.

Its not that easy actually. http://www.druglibrary.org/prohibitionresults.htm
Generally prohibiting any drug hasn't ever made the general situation better, at least not for the most popular recreational drugs. Countries with less restrictive laws have smaller problems all in all. This includes crimes committed in order to obtain drugs and the social and medical condition of consumers.
As to the first page, it says it's too early to really state anything, the codot.gov page says "Data includes fatalities in which alcohol or other drugs may be present", so hmm... and then there's still this http://tinyurl.com/kf6lg8x (will download a pdf). I'm not saying there's no risk or harm, but there is no skyrocketing whatsoever.
Obviously. The laws are still new. It's going to take some time for the people to actually learn that you can get a DUI via all drugs. Weed isn't the issue here, it's stupid people.
You are complaining that cannabis is causing DUIs, but it is involved in only 17% of accidents. What we need are commercials and warnings to inform people of the risks other than just a bit of text on a bottle.

Bit old, but I can only imagine the increases in the last two years. Even in Utah, we get a lot of pothead DUI arrests from people driving over the border.
And look! More statistics! https://www.codot.gov/safety/alcohol-and-impaired-driving/druggeddriving
You wanna do it at home and screw yourself over. Fine. But leave other people out of it!
