I have no problem with breast feeding just I feel it shouldn't be displayed like that. I mean it's not shameful or disgusting but it is kind of rude to do this. You make others uncomfortable and make it hard as a person waiting on you to talk to you. A simple blanket would not make you less of a mother or take away your right to feed your child.
I kno I will get a few who say she has a right to do this. And she does. But I personally never would and I did breast feed my daughter and I never did this. I always draped something over me and her.
Why should you have to cover up? Your kid is hungry, so feed the kid. If y'all dont like it, y'all don't have to look at it. Mammals feed their babies like this. Humans are mammals. It is natural instinct. Get over it. Don't like it? Too damn bad.
As I said in a previous post, unless you are willing to wear a blanket over your head while eating, don't make a baby. Now, when they are latching on, switching side or unlatching, definitely cover while totally exposed, but other than that tge babys head covers most of everything else, exposing little if any more than a swimsuit top.
To be clear, this is my opinion when it comes to infants that have to be fed constantly and tge boob is their only food source. Once they are old enough for other foods ect it is much less if a necessity to nurse at the drop of a hat.
I always felt super uncomfortable breastfeeding in public without a cover. I never thought there was anything wrong with it, I just didn't like that someone might see my breast. One day I forgot my cover and babys mouth slipped and my breast was exposed. 2 people (that I saw) saw my naked boob and looked as shocked as I was lol Ever since if we were going somewhere I would pump and just bottle feed while in public. I'm not saying every woman should do this, just sharing a story. @mrscollector I always liked the big hats they make for breastfeeding. They don't completely cover the baby which some babies have issues with but they completely block others view. My son hated feeding in the dark so using a blanket was near impossible but my sis in law bought me one of the hats and it was a lifesaver :)
What exactly makes the nipple so shameful that you can nurse a baby fine, but heavens no, if a nip slip occurs everyone freaks? if your argument is that animals nurse in public, they also poop, shit, and fuck in public too... part of human evolution was the development of clothes. I'm just saying, it seems kind of hypocritical to be okay with most of the boob, but to be grossed out by the nipple. I think the biggest thing issue about public nursing isnt that people dont think it should be allowed, like we all understand babies gotta eat, its just that its still pretty taboo and some women are shy while others just whip it out. the contrast is still shocking
I've never said anything about a nip slip. My wife breastfeed the newborn baby we have. I would never tell her to cover up the baby's head just because others are uncomfortable. I don't give a damn about what others think. It isn't hurting them. It doesn't affect them. So screw off with that crap. It is utter bullshit. I'm not gonna have my baby's face covered all because someone is uncomfortable with a fucking breast. Jesus Christ, people. It is a natural occurrence. Stop being so butthurt and worried about everyone else, and worry about yourselves.
@celticrose you do know that unless the mom comes in feeding and never stops till out of the place she had to show her breast uncovered to allow the child to latch on and than once done will show her full breast again. To put it away. And from experience I can tell you that you can't always just pop it back in place to many to count I would have to clean/wipe myself before putting myself back in order.
Plus what if you were not blessed with small areolas?
@novelus like I said I don't have a problem with public breast feeding.
Due to my daughter's illness she was born with I was unable to bottle feed. She couldn't even handle pumped milk. It had to be fresh. So where I went she went.
This is about modesty. And other people's right to not be flashed while trying to enjoy a meal or go about their day.
I breastfed my kids wherever and whenever I needed to. Sometimes I used a cover but my son hated them and would rip it off. I didn’t care, we just went on with our feeding time anyway. My daughter didn’t mind it but she quickly became a biter so that ended our breastfeeding time. I was lucky, I got 4 months with her and 6 with my son. The looks never bothered me- they’re boobs. Get over it.
Now after I deliver this baby for a friend of mine (carrying for them, it’s not mine) I will pump and be discreet af about that. Otherwise you actually see the nipple being sucked into the flange and it’s just weird to me lol.
Bruhs and bruhdettes we just had this conversation on a previous post. The baby just needs to eat. It's completely natural. You're not asked to cover up when eating or drinking either. And boobs aren't even sexual organs, we see them like that because we're taught to but as I already said before, they're literally just bags of baby food on your chest.
If you wanna talk about stuff being indecent, let's talk about advertisers using boobs to sell products that don't even have anything to do with boobs in the first place. These ads usually show more boob than a breastfeeding mom does because the baby's head covers a whole lot.
I agree, she looks bitter. Like she's waiting for someone to say something about her breastfeeding..or maybe they already have

I think she should cover up a bit so her boob and baby don't get cold. No other reason. I personally believe that restaurants, cafes etc should have a room specifically for breastfeeding and bottle feeding complete with comfy chairs, bottle sterilizing machine and anything else they will need.
And take those flip flops of the damn table that's disgusting!
It's ok to breastfeed in public , just try to be more discreet , I feel like it could be a bit uncomfortable foe everyone else. Imagine if there were children there watching.
Just to remind everyone, this isn't even a debate in many countries. In Sweden, breasts are fairly non-sexualised, and it's not weird to see a mother whip out her breast to feed her child. People would only stare if you covered up with a huge blanket (like some of y'all want mothers to do). Women who are shy will put a small cloth over their shoulder but that's about it.
The flip flops are fake. Look at the wave on the edge of the table. I don’t care if she feeds her child in public but she could at least cover up in the restaurant. Smh.
Question. Why is it okay for men to go around not wearing shirts, but not for women to? If people stopped over specializing things that were not meant for a sexual purpose, these conversations wouldn't be happening.
That's why women in the past had their boobs pushed all the way up and seen as decent but it wasn't decent if their legs showed. It's only recently seen as so sexual they have to be completely hidden.
For fucks sake. Piss does not sustain life. Your dick does not sustain life. Your dick is a sexual organ that does not sustain or satisfy anything. Breasts, however, produce milk. Breasts are not a sexual organ. They have been turned into sexual objects by idiots that don’t understand that milk sustains life. Milk is food. Your piss is not; it is just a byproduct of filtering liquid out of your diet. So again... you’re a fucking idiot.
