Lauren, you stay the *** away from me!

Sadly I know a few “Lauren’s.” They own books they’ve never read because they use books as a decoration. They want the “look” of a bookshelf and without books they don’t like the way the shelf looks. In short they buy a shelf they like and then buy books to decorate it, as opposed to buying books they like and then a shelf to put it on. A couple “Lauren’s” I know at least read the books once. Then they display them as trophy’s. They have no intent to ever read them again, and no particular attachment to them, but by George they want anyone that comes over to know they read those books. Of course these Lauren’s do read other books, but they either lack the prestige or aesthetics to be displayed for company.

Yup, they're really tiring.
