If you think climbing the sacred site is bad- people have also done strip teases and other acts that most would consider inappropriate on a sacred site. The climb has not been previously forbidden, except for when it’s very windy. It’s a dangerous climb and over 40 people have died on it. The indigenous people people prefer it not be done though. After some false starts and backing out of promises to ban the climb and or give the land back to natives, a law was passed that will ban the climb starting 2019.
People have defaced ancient cave/rock paintings just to spray paint or carve their initials, and others disrupt funerals to play Pokemon Go. Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to disrespect.
@xvarnah actually, around this site there is literally nothing to climb. It's flat as FUCK. It's Ayers Rock in Australia. Uluru is the Aboriginal name.
