Yes good for her!! Pretty cool that she was lactating at the time though. Bless her

She has an infant, which was one reason she felt so drawn to help where she could for the baby

She's got a sorta "are they really taking a picture of me with my tit mostly out right now?" Look to her

The hospital workers at the time were calling the baby gross and dirty, she was probably responding to that tbh

Okay I don’t know much about breastfeeding, but why is she squishing her boob with her hand like that? It looks painful. Does squishing your boob make it lactate more?

It makes it easier for the baby to latch on. It also makes sure the baby isn't smothered by your breast. It can happen.

Ppl like @pilly are the reason that breastfeeding gets sexualized and demonized by society. Thanks for being part of the problem.

Yes, uncalled for. Not needed, but getting offended by every little thing regardless of actual facts is the reason everyone is a dainty little pussy that can't be told they're wrong. If you sexualize and demonize breastfeeding, you're literally mentally challenged. If you get offended easily, especially over a comment from a total stranger online, you also are mentally challenged. Get help, you're all apart of what's wrong with society.

How and why? Women have done it for as long as there has been recorded history. Have you never heard the term "wet nurse", its literally exactly that, a lactating woman who breastfeeds a child not hers. Aside from that, she did it with the hospitals approval.

I'd say a small infection is less dangerous than malnutrition.

But it's not a risk of infection, at least no more than with biological mother and child.
