I think potentially this meant breasts that are so large they seem disproportionate to the rest of your body. Certain clothes can enhance this effect, making you look very imbalanced, especially if you have smaller hips
Tbh every once in awhile I'll see one of those tops that has some of cute ruffles or something (Im not a super ruffle-gal, but some of them just catch your eye). But then it's like "yeah, cause that's what I need. MORE bulk and movement in that area."
I want to wear the flowy tops so bad but when I do I look like 3x bigger in my whole torso than normal because the girls are too big to let it just flow.. it just hangs and looks bad
Yeah but us ladies don't dress for you guys. Y'know, if you don't find yourself on point but you know how it could be better, you don't give a fuck about a random dude telling you you're good enough and he'd be happy even if you were Frankenstein's creature in a garbage bag! You just want to find yourself pretty.
(some) girls dont dress for guys. They dress up so other girls wont make fun/ talk bad behind their back... If you wear sweatpants, there will always be one girl who will point it out to either you or other girls.
^ sad but true. Not all women of course. Not even most by far (unless you work in the fashion industry I guess, or just have the misfortune of meeting with shallow people). But there is always that one salty bitch who won't shut up about some arbitrary stuff like a shirt you wore one time mainly because of her own insecurities. This of course leads to spreading rumors and yada yada and sometimes can't be stopped if that salty bitch also happens to be popular or persuasive. It's just statistics, I guess. There has to be an asshole in every bigger group. Guys have it like that too, just less to do with clothing and more with some kind of masculinity gatekeeping.
Based on the comments section just about anywhere, I gotta say I'm a little skeptical that most guys don't care. They probably don't care as much as women, but they certainly seem to do a degree
Ooooh my God this is so accurate. My shoulders and boobs are size L or XL, my waist is size S/M And my hips are L/XL again. It's so hard to shop for clothes with these proportions. Luckily, I found out that 50s dresses or dresses/tops and skirts with those shapes and cuts fit my shape well since hip size doesn't matter in that type of skirt and, well, my boobs may get a bit squished but hey at least it makes them look good.
My ribcage doesn't match my clothes, or my body. My bones are visible, but the ribcage is physically wide enough that I can't wear dresses that belonged to family members that otherwise fit perfectly. I suppose that's what happens when you mix east asian and northern european genes.
Sometimes you want to wear those cute clothes that flatter chested girls wear, or wear men's clothes, but boobs get in the way. Or the shirts/dresses hang off of you and make you look pregnant. If you have a curved spine, clothes will hang off and make you look like a box. Everything has to be fitted or it's a disaster.
I have flared ribs too. My friends say "you are so thin you can see your ribs" and idk why it is so hard for them to understand that's not how it works
This is true. Admittedly, sometimes it can be.. Not easy, but easier to fake having larger breasts (there's entire department stores and brands devoted to this and little else) since it's easier to add bulk than remove it, but I know a lot of girls who struggled with feeling like they had straight-up-and-down figures, that they were entirely unappealing, and that everything made them look like a boy. Or, alternatively, that everything made their hips/ass look huge (not in a flattering way) because they felt they were too narrow at the tops of their bodies, and a lot of the "sexy" clothes/low-cut tops/dresses etc they wanted to wear felt fell flat (one of them told me she even hated shopping for bras because she'd look at her chest and just feel so embarrassed/disappointed).
True. Push up bras are a life saver sometimes. The Op it is si relarable no matter what size. I'm ok wearing some things my big breasted friends would not be comfortable in, but nice blouses that I like, I try them on and they do not look like they are supposed to look and I feel like a boy.
@itsamemaria I've honestly been super jealous of some of the clothing my smaller-chested friends could wear. Not that I dislike my body, but as I said before, sometimes I see an outfit and it's abso-freaking-lutely adorable... and abso-freaking-lutely not going to work on my body type haha.
Honestly, I've never had luck with blouses either. Either put them on and they're tight across my chest and then the buttons start gaping and I look top-heavy as hell and it ruins the entire effect... or I go the next size up, and any elegance factor is gone and I now look top-heavy and pregnant haha
Maybe that entire shirt type is cursed, idk
@xvarnah I get you. When it fits on my waist, it's extremely tight around the boobs. When it fits on the boobs, it's loose af everywhere else. It's so hard to shop for cute things because most of the stuff looks completely different on me than on the models in the pictures since most models on mainstream shops are flat chested and super thin.

And silk will always look most elegant and luxurious on flat chested women
