Incorrect. They absolutely can die and get very sick. However, the amount ingested and the size of the dog plays a role in this. Generally a large breed dog ingesting an edible likely wouldn't have too many problems, but it is still not healthy for your dog, and you're better off not feeding your pets drugs (because apparently we've reached an age when that needs to be said)
Unfortunately that looks like a pretty small dog, given the admittedly weird features, there's definitely some chihuahua or Chinese crested. That would depend on how much it ate too. In some cases dogs have even used it medicinally, but there hasn't been any research on dosage ect, so it's a tricky subject
Also, if a human drank enough alcohol based on their body weight, guess what? It'd kill them too! So yeah, same concept applies to dogs, and since most dogs are smaller than humans, this means that it'd take less to kill them than us.

@xvarnah -to reach a "reliable" LD50 for THC in any animal it takes intravenous injection of THC which needs large amounts of solvents of any kind. It's been widely hypothesized that it's actually the solvent that causes death. An oral lethal dose for mice has been reported to be found at a dose of 480 mg/kg weight (that would be the equivalent of 300-400 grams of pot for a 70 kg human), for dogs I found estimates of even 5-6 times this dose. So even when considering the LD50 in mice for a 3 lb chihuahua that would be 1,5 grams of PURE thc. A usual edible contains 10 mg per serving, maximum 20 mg, so even that 3 lb dog woud need to eat 75 edible to reach a (theoretical) LD50. That dog is obviously confused and maybe even frightened but that's it. Except that edible contained notable amounts of chocolate (theobromine)

@dickgrayson - THC and EtOH are totally different in what they do to an organism. THC is not suppressing any vital functions of a body which is basically what makes alcohol poisonous. You can absorb so much thc that you have to puke, but that's because it interacts with certain areas in your solitary nucleus which can make you throw up when i.e. certain chemoreceptors in your digestive system send signals to these areas. THC does not trigger those receptor but directly influences these areas in the solitary nucleus. That is why THC (in smaller doses) works as antiemetic drug. Also that's what can make you puke after a joint, when you had a lot of alcohol before that.
that'd be chocolate. A shit ton of edibles obvious contain chocolate... so...
@halfdeadhammerhead beat me..... Again... I should read other comments so mine isn't redundant.
This dog looks like he's trying to convince a courtroom judge that he's a good father after being sued for not paying child support for the last three years.
