Also, when you submit/post (or possibly it appears when you edit a post) there is a field specifically for "source", that way you can have the artist info double sited, or if you found it in one place but their main body of work is another. Just FYI.
I honestly don't know how the logistics of that would work out... I'm about to start a new semester at university, and I have the time to find the art, and even find the artists, but contacting each and every one might pose a problem. :')
A lot of artists do say feel free to share their art somewhere on their pages.
You could realistically type up an email and then send the exact same email to any artist you want to show the work of. Maybe don't start until you've had time to collect a few plays, and then you can always show more than one piece by the same artist, especially early on.
That being said most artist who put their work on the internet without putting it behind a paywall actually want it getting spread around as long as they are getting credit. So if you can't get okay from artist, I thinks urs probably fine as long as they haven't clearly asked not to have their work shared around.
I’m in (of course). Sure, try to acknowledge the artist when you can. We’ll know you just reposted and didn’t steal and take credit so I’m less concerned with the artist credit, myself. Google Images reverse lookup works wonders.
I love Yuumei's art! I posted something from her fisheye placebo comic awhile ago.. She has such a beautiful and vivid style. And she manages to incorporate both political and neutral subject matter.

Unfortunately she's said she hurt her hand a few years ago from overwork... but yeah, I can't gush over her work enough
