That's how I feel talking to my Slavic aunt! They way she talks is hilarious and I don't understand how you could talk like that and not laugh your ass off 24:7
It depends on the area you’re in in Minnesota, some places it’s a really slight accent and they never say “dontcha know”, but we def say “ope” and “oofta”. Some of the stuff in this post no one says, like “now there yet”, maybe that’s a typo. I think we sound a bit Canadian. We don’t notice it because it’s how we’ve always talked, and how everyone around us talks. But yes it’s funny and adorable
It truly does. See, in England, we are always told “oh, your accent is so cool”. Honestly, though, I think the majortiy of us sound like pompous dillweeds. Especially the posh do...Cockney is rather hilarious. Americans aren’t the only ones that imitate it for fun:)
A good number of people in my family live in Minnesota and I can attest that this totally reminded me of them! Also, I do have a few aunts that do indeed say “dontcha know”, but def not all Minnesotans say that
Cockney accents are absolutely hilarious, no doubt. In the comics Rocket Raccoon has one lol.
Honestly though, the way these posts are written it sounds more like a North Dakota accent, Fargo specifically... at least that's the voice I read it in.... in my mind.
