This is the kitty I adopted when I made the mistake of going to the pet store just for a dog toy.
She is just under 2 years old. And without even realizing it (because I hadn't realized St Patrick's day was the next day) I got her exactly 1 year after my 13 year old black cat passed away.
I don't have a husband, my daughter and I live with my mom for a slew of health reasons. She was actually surprisingly agreeable, mainly because we have one cat that is unlikely to be with us much longer and our other cat will need the company, as will my daughter.
@iccarus actually my dog is terrified of cats, despite being a good 10x their size. My elderly Siamese has scarred her for life.
@Catfluff lol don’t even go there. I’m the guy who’ll be screaming from the rooftops when I commit a crime. If I do something, I do it on purpose and I damn well want you to know.

P.s. it’ll be 18 kittens this week just to be on the safe side
Well according to @Aviva I was cheating on Jason with you. Now if you weren't paying attention that's hardly my fault

Oh, I pay no attention to what @Aviva says. She has no idea what goes on amongst the adults.
.
If we had cheated together, it would definitely be unforgettable mama-bear ;)
@aviva I wasn't agreeing that you don't know what goes on. From my end at least it was all intended as an add-on to your joke to begin with, especially since me, Jasonmon, shikharizard, and catfluff have no interest in each other
Hah! @Xvarnah speak for yourself. I’ve never met you or @Catfluff. You could be interesting ;)
.
@Jasonmon I’m sure you won’t mind being excluded- under the circumstances
They would literally tear your soul from your body. That's no way I'm missing that. Get em, ladies!

Unrelated note: have you guys heard of photo feeler? It's like a constructive form of /b/roastme. I posted some pics I thought were good and was rated in the 4s-5s. Then I posted other pics that I thought were boring and I was rated in the 8s-9s. It turns out we're terrible at picking out good photos of ourselves. Who knew?
It's just a website that you can upload pics and people rate you on various qualities. You can focus on professional qualities, dating qualities, or friendship qualities. People rate on a 0-3 scale on three qualities and get the option to give you feedback like: "Awkward pose," "forced smile," or "would date them." Then you do the same for others. Just be sure to have your thick skin on when you view the results o.o
,
I uploaded silly pics and serious pics. The ones where I have a warm smile and am cuddling a doggo or two are the ones where I get 9+ and lots of, "Would date them."
Ahh I see. I have no intention of trying it haha I was just curious what it was. I'm not surprised ones with dogs rate higher though haha

@Jasonmon sounds like a damn good time
.
@Xvarnah I’ve seriously considered renting a to dog take pics with, but then it would set an unreasonable standard I would never be able to meet or sustain. Who can compete with a good boy? They get all b***ches.
@shikharizard don't get ideas now
'
Wouldn't it be easier just to get a dog haha? I mean you've said you like them. You can hardly become leader of an Irish mob without one

@Xvarnah girl, I haven’t NOT had ideas since the 4th grade
.
I would love to get a doggo, but I can barely take care of myself leave alone another living creature, and I work way too much - wouldn’t be able to give the little dude his due, AND I don’t have anyone else who could help me when I travel for work, or just travel in general or if I get sick.
.
Long story short, I couldn’t support one.
@shikharizard colour me shocked and appalled (and sarcastic)
'
That's fair. Though there's always fostering if you just want to have one temporarily, but that's definitely not for everyone

@Xvarnah Yeah I bet you didn't see that coming with me. P.S. my heart is warmed to see you spell "colour" correctly
.
And no, I ain't no fostering type. I'd get too attached to the doggo but I'd be trying not to let myself and it would be a mess. Not to mention I don't want to deal with the doggo's trauma. Same reason I could never raise another man's kids.
Haha probably a good time not to tell you I spell it both ways <.<
'
That's fair, although a lot of them aren't traumatized. But like I said definitely not for everyone.
'
You want your trauma to be entirely home-grown

@Xvarnah I'll try not to hold it against you. I do too, but only when I'm dealing with Americans who don't know the correct spelling.
.
You just get me mama-bear! As far as I'm concerned, every person, family and relationship is ****ed up in its/their own way. If we all have to contend with that anyway, I want it to be my brand of disaster, not someone elses'. At least that way I'll have a rough idea of how to deal with it.
Haha the question is whether you'd be able to RECOGNIZE the trauma for what it is before it's too late

Unlikely. That was the best effect that having a girl in my life, had on my life. She used to police my reckless or dangerous habits- many of which were damaging to myself or others. Definitely handcuffing in terms of operating to maximum effectiveness, if that's your only goal, but I, and many others would have lived a lot longer if she'd stayed in my life.
Oooh... longer hair than I s'pected... I like black cats with longer hair >_>d
Hopefully with hairballs she doesn't insist on doing it on the carpet like my long hair does :/

Can you please post a picture every week of little furball?

I have been violated!
