he's more qualified in chemical engineering. He's not more qualified of the title of scientist nor in mechanical engineering. He is either equally qualified (both have degrees in only engineering based sciences, the one listed of chemistry is false, he never completed that degree) or less qualified (he doesn't actually do science)

It doesn’t take a genius to understand most of the things Bill Nye preaches. But that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. First and foremost, Bill Nye is an educator of sorts. He’s speaker, a public figure. And I’m sure he has fact checkers.
