She deserved it, even if you don't agree with someone's political choice (trump supporter) you have to respect everyone's decisions and not fucking run over signs on their property lol, that's illegal
I'll be honest I'm not very politically involved however, the recent increase in zealots on the politically left in America is very taxing on my current views. I understand that historically speaking free nations always fall from the inside due to extremists but is there any chance that a calm could be brought back in America? Or is our generation the straw to break the camel's back?
So only the zealots on the left are taxing your views? You were cool with the zealots on the right, but the ones on the left are just a straw too far for you?
Second guest, find me some prominent zealots on the right that hold any political power and are not mainstream conservatives. Go ahead, I'll wait.
In the meantime, I can send you a compilation of left-wing insanity to demonstrate the point. How many articles from NY Times, Huff Post, The Guardian, and other mainstream papers you need? Cause just from my memory, they number in hundreds, if not thousands at this point.
First guest here I don't appreciate zealots of any kind. The difference is that the zealotry has become more popular in the left. Then again I may just be missing something.
Please also note- it is illegal to set booby traps even on your own property, even to defend yourself or your home, and yes- nails are included as Booby traps. Even if a person is trespassing on your property, common law holds that you are liable if they are done harm in any way that was foreseeable and reasonably preventable. If you have a deep hole on your yard and I fall in- you’re most likely liable if you didn’t cover it or mark it as a Hazzard. Where a trap is set it meets the definition of a “affirmative acts amounting to wilfulness” as well as being a general Hazzard.
That means that in a civil case, with a burden of “preponderance of the evidence” as opposed to “all reasonable doubt,” a judge can look at the details and assume things- like what purpose do nails serve at the base of a sign if they aren’t a trap? And even IF the judge didn’t call any excuse bullshit- you STILL have failed to meet the requirement to have no unreasonable Hazzard- as intentionally standing nails on end in your yard is something you were aware of and would be expected to know would create undue Hazzard.
There is also effectively 0% Chance pain and suffering would be awarded in this case. The plaintiff must demonstrate pain and suffering, missed work, therapy or treatment bills, some proof that they have been effected in a meaningful way- while the action can be proved malicious if the judge finds she intended to destroy his property, and potentially found grossly negligent if she claims to have “lost control” or some other excuse- the criteria for pain and suffering likely aren’t met.
It would also be very hard to get a pain and suffering award if there was no criminal case. If he felt so unsafe etc- but didn’t press charges against her, that would be rather odd. He would in theory have the ability to sue or countersue for the cost of the sign if any, and possibly damages to his yard in the amount it would cost to fix it (keeping in mind the responsibility to mitigate damages when bringing civil suit.) so... I smell BS.
Could you, like, ever, answer in one comment instead of spamming the section? I don't disagree with a lot of the things you say, just don't use the lecture format.

Actual guest, there's a letter cap to prevent entire stories in one comment also, I enjoy guest_'s comments and I think s/he does a wonderful job at presenting his/her opinion clearly and without bias.
"Opinion" and "without bias" are mutually exclusive, and besides, I do long comment strings as well, but I try to avoid padding the word count with winding metaphores and dancing around the point. The criticism here is that he sometimes goes overboard, and his strings of 6 max word limits comments become somewhat overbearing at times.
P.S. This is not to disparage guest_, but to give a bit of respectful criticism to the way he structures his arguments. Cheers.
Hi Guest. I can count the times that I disagreed with Guest on my fingers ( if I cut off a couple of them, lol). Sometimes if I see anyone's comment that is too long for me to read at the time or I have limited interest for the meme, I will scroll past. Maybe the guest bitching at Guest doesn't know that if there is something that they find offensive on tv , that they can change the chanel instead of getting triggered. Life hack.

Well.... there are little orange people with hideous hair who are ok putting kids in detention and the like if they go where they aren’t allowed... and there’s lots of those blue collar manufacturing jobs I’ve heard so much about... no windmills... and whipping up some hamberder flavored wallpaper would be a breeze.... A paradise until that socialist Charlie comes along and gives everyone free medical care at the end.
There are YouTube videos of these kind of things and people electrifying they're signs. I have never cared for Trump. I was a little surprised that on election night that he won. First thing that I said to my wife was , I hope he is a great President and that whoever wins it after him is even better. People in the US have the right to vote for who they want. Too much childish bullshit all around.
Agreed. I made a joke above which seems to not have gone over well with someone, more just an idea I found humorous than a serious barb. - but making a decision someone else wouldn’t doesn’t make a person an idiot by default. Likewise- we have to separate personal feelings for a person from their job. Perhaps most critically, we have to remember that while we like to look at most politicians and the like as idiots from one angle or another, they don’t get in the game and stay in it long term without having some type of ability. We can argue what that ability is or if it’s a virtue, but in the end as with most things people just tend to make the choices they think will benefit them and their priorities.
Antifa conducted themselves in the most positive way possible lol. Both sides are out of control. I consider myself an independent , I didn't vote for Trump because of the way he brags about not paying taxes, contractors and many of products, suits for example are made in Mexico and overseas. I do tend to vote Democrat more than Republican. I am disgusted by the behavior of both parties and the media. The whole thing has been a terrible shit show.
If we define sanity as a social norm, a relationship with reality that is shared by most people- we can then say that extremism of most any sort is going to be a form of insanity of its own. The world is full of crazy people and jerks of all banners for sure.
@popsy, are you seriously going to defend fucking Antifa? The group that has been labeled as a domestic terrorist group, and is most known for hitting people over the head with bike locks and "punch a nazi" slogan? Or is there some context I am missing here, lol.
Haha. I would have no problem opening up on any terrorist that threaten free speech. You didn't see the 'lol' at the end of ANTIFA sentence. Those asshats physically stopped speakers at events , vandalize buildings, all kinds of crap because they didn't want an opposing view of their political beliefs.
The ones that shut down Berkley actted like Hitler's Brown Shirts. Destroying freedom of speech makes the domestic enemies of the Constitution of the United States of America.
I didn't vote for Trump, never liked him before politics, but people have the right to vote for whomever they wish. ANTIFA uses violence to silence opposing view points.
America is divded politically over bullshit. I don't think that there has been a decent president since Clinton . I didn't care for NAFTA, but he seemed more genuine in doing the country right. His problem with Lewinski should have been between him and his wife. Over the last twenty years or so, I look at elections as if I've been falsely convicted of a crime, in prison, knowing that I am going to be anally raped so I have to try to choose the guy with the smallest dick. I want to see, an independent, moral, patriotic person run for President. I don't care if it's a man or woman. Just a good choice.

Biased source, but the spike traps catching people vandalizing private property appears to be true.
The rest appears to be pretty standard greentext that never happened.
