thats like being told you suck at cooking and responding by saying "But im amazing at cooking mama 3!?!?!"
also baby boomers didnt have literally everything they could ever need at beck and call via the push of a button on a supercomputer the size of a softball.
the only gameplay of cooking mama ive ever seen was hotdog parts falling from the sky where the player had to catch them with the bun. Thats not teaching anyone jack shit
i watched rtgames video on it and its like 10ish minutes long. The hotdog thing is just the big one that stuck out, the whole game is just ridiculous and obviously made as a game for kids that doesnt actually teach a god damn thing.
??? He included the ridiculous parts, like he always does.
Watch someone actually play it seriously. He made BURGERS for crying out loud.
I particularly like the dumpling or sushi ones.
You cut up the vegetables, knead the dough or prepare the rice, then fold it (which is super helpful to know how to do)
Every generation has its good and bad. Different challenges, hardships ect. Different skills are needed at different times. I really never understood the whole millinial /baby boomer comparison.
Predominantly, boomers are their parents. Some of the older gen xers are parents to millennials but most are siblings. Gen Xers are 40-55 years old right now, while millennials are 25-40 years old.
So, clearly a 25 year old person could easily have a 50-55 year old parent, it’s not the majority of the cohort.
When studying market trends, we look at millennials and boomers together because millennials have what we call a boomerang effect on their parents (the boomers).
The boomers were previously the largest purchasing cohort, until the majority of their children came into purchasing power.
To me, a millennial is someone born shortly before or after the year 2000, otherwise why call them millennials? That would make them teens or twenty-somethings verging on thirty. Boomers were born between 1945 and 1955, so that's a pretty big gap. Anyway that's how I see it.
The called millennials because they came of age during that time.
I see where the confusion comes from, but millennials are born from 1980-1995.
There’s a lot of literature regarding the topic so you don’t have to take my word for it.
Now I don't know the most accurate of years but the term baby boomers were in relation to the 60's hippie movement/period. Regardless, age doesn't stop people from reproducing. My father is currently 69 going on 70 and my mother is 59. I'm 25 years old, I have 3 older step sisters who are in their mid/late 40s. My younger brother is 21. The word millennial is used to simplify the comparing between "old people to young people" in the media. The term gets abused for the worst types of comparison that fall short of what the intention is meant to demonstrate between the two. I personally despise the word millennial as most of the time it is used more as an insult or to be demoralizing against the youth.
Baby boomers were born between 1943-1965. They are called baby boomers because they were born after the war during an economic baby boom.
Generations are separated into peer cohorts based on shared experiences and cultural shifts. So, yes, many of the boomers cane of age in the sixties (shared experiences) that’s not where they got their name.
We have been using the baby boomers as a generational categorization since before we had a name for millennials (so it really isn’t just to separate the two).
Take heart @honeybumblebee the millennials are going to save the world. :)
The older generation has been disparaging the younger generation for as long as people have been having kids.
Every generation has people that cant DIY. I'm millennial and in the process of moving and rebuilding a house from 1860, mostly by myself with help from friends/gf. I do work for boomers who cant pick up a hammer without calling me to fix what they mess up, it all depends on who taught you what growing up. It just seems more of our generation were told to go to college and construction was beneath us
My youngest is learning how to fix/repair roofs of the mansions in Detroit. I had trouble getting the kid to cut the grass. He's actually doing pretty good so far. Working for his grandfather ,Papa is old school and doesn't put up with shit. Lol. I always tell kids to go for the trade schools if they don't won't/can't go to college. There's quit a few free programs through the school system that are not being taken advantage of. I don't think age is a,factor for work ethic.
most of the DIY videos that get millions of views are dumb ass shit that server no actual purpose and probably cost more than the alternative like the one where they make i think a tea cup out of a baby dolls head and paint it white
Folks still have a sore spot for all the smack that gets thrown at the millennials. It will get better when the next youngest generation meets majority. Then they get to be the target. :)
I think only an idiot would judge someone purely on age alone, that's as stupid as judging someone by skin color. I have seen young people bust there ass and young slackers. I have also seen older people who slack and ones that can out work most folks. Work ethic is an individual quality
also baby boomers didnt have literally everything they could ever need at beck and call via the push of a button on a supercomputer the size of a softball.
And you want to have an opinion on it?
I don’t think this counts as trying it, so don’t knock it
