Literal perfection.
This was my biggest fascination, I watched Silence of the Lambs with my parents when I was pretty young (7-10) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I became fascinated with crime investigations, especially serial killers, and I've wanted to be (among the many things) a detective one day, more just to talk to them and learn about them as person and all that interesting aspects.
I was 12 when I first watched it and I understood those rude bits. I also borrowed the book from the library which confirmed it was semen that the prisoner flicked at her.
