Im not blind but i have a black cat that likes to lay in dark corners and on anything else that is black. She’s been stepped on a few times, so now she meows when you get close so you know she’s nearby.

Is anyone gonna talk about how OP wouldn’t be able to type if they’re blind?

They've got a lot programs these days to help with that, and legal blindness ain't quite like Hollywood blindness.

There's enough devices and applications that allow blind people to use advanced technologies like pcs and smartphones. I'm gonna give the first example that comes to mind and say speech to text.

My one honest question is how do they know text slang like bc=because? If they use something like text to speech to “read” posts how would they have learned text slang

Additionally there are different types of blindness. Some people have partial vision. Maybe they have extreme short sightedness

Also if their blindness is degenerative they may have been able to see shortcuts like that before losing more if their sight

Interesting about the other forms of the programs. The only ones I’ve ever seen sucked so I was always curious I guess
