Control how? Are there limitations to my powers. For either, can I summon them where and whenever I want or do I need the conditions to be able to produce the object of my manipulation. Do I control just the actual thing or the concepts surrounding them, e.g. if I pick water can I control Ice or Water Vapor? If I pick fire can I control temperatures of objects? Am I actually able to move the object? As in make it so I can move water (and to some extent, fire) against the forces that act upon it? Am I being too nit picky about all of this?

I'd rather control electricity. Not only could I manipulate lightning and electronics, but also the nervous systems of living things.
Water. Having control over it also gives me control over it's temperature (most hydrokinesis descriptions say, so I'm assuming) and control over it's states of matter, ice and steam. I could form anything from ice, and also with practice pull water from the moisture in the air
And using water in the air, wrapping it around me, fly. Or at least jump super high and long distances
Well it depends because fire would look pretty badass but also it could be painful. And water is pretty cool but would I look like I’m dripping with sweat after?
Depends on how strong the ability is. Can you actually manipulate the water within shit, or does it need to be within eyesight? Can you bend stuff including water, or only water on it's own, meaning no pulling moisture from the air and shit. How strong is it?
Water. Don't like someone? Depending on how strong your hatred is, fill their blatter or lungs, or drain all the water out of their body. Want to help the environment? Water again. Thirsty? Boom water. Bored? Snow balls battle anywhere, anytime.
Here I am thinking that with my power I can save the planet... and a lot of people are thinking what's the best way to kill yhe enemies. Always two kind of people lol
And using water in the air, wrapping it around me, fly. Or at least jump super high and long distances
One second of exposure to fire is not as bad as one second of exposure to boiling water
