I believe the 3rd step is the most important. If water goes up your nose at a very high force... bad things happen. The bottom of your brain is in your nose

i didn't go over a waterfall, but jumped near it, and got caught in the washing machine for about 2 minutes, grabbed the rocks at the bottom and crawled out. When i surfaced, about 5-7 people were calling emergency numbers.
