It is regarding the skin tone. Light skin black people are also called redbone. Generally if they are not mixed. Also, it's used regularly for women, instead of men.
It's a light-skinned black person who has reddish undertones. Different than a high-yellow, both are examples of colorism and are generally used to describe women
Mostly all correct. The EXACT meaning of “redbone” depends on a few things like where you are it. In much of the south it means specifically a mixed race “Black” with a specific ethnic background. Traditionally it meant any mixed race person- but was mostly applied to mixed “black” people. In common usage it refers to skin tone as others have said. “Yellow” and lighter shades of “brown” are common in many children of black/white parents. But some combinations produce a skin tone that is more shades of red. It’s important to be aware that while in recent decades many have embraced the term- it can often be considered in a negative connotation and some find it offensive.
I can’t say I completely agree with either person here, but I can say that having a missing father has nothing to do with ones mother being a “hoe.” Most people who have been betrayed didn’t see it coming- it’s not a betrayal generally if you expect it, it’s just a person being themselves. Men AND women can be selective with partners, judge them as many people would to seem “responsible” or “honorable” etc- but discover at some point when that is tested what a person is really made of. The Military spends millions and takes years to select and condition elite troops and commanders for pressure situations and once in awhile even one of those people reacts unpredictably and against expectations. So am absentee parent is ultimately about THEM and their choices.
it shall mean bloody steak or period sex
.
@jmmcclain tbh I now prefer that definition over the real one
