"We"? That's at best pretty vague, though I guess what famoussolini means has something to do with "the-hills-have-eyes" characters clinging to their sacred guns. Civilized grown-ups will know that the USA do in fact have means of checking the government, and some are working right now. It's what Trump's Minions (formerly known as GOP) like to call "witch hunt", "coup" or "unconstitutional".
That ones pretty straight forward. American government is founded on a principal of checks and balances. The ultimate check is “us” the people. There are more of “us.” We check the government through voting, protesting, and exposing secrets hidden for the benefit of the corrupt. We balance it- the more extreme the overreach- the more extreme our response- until ultimately the duty of all who hold the true American spirit (inside and outside government) are to overthrow a tyrannical government- a balance our right to bear arms is meant in part of keep.
With the right to bear arms as the most extreme and destructive safety measure. Hence all the others. But a country is like a nuclear power plant. Complex, constructive or destructive based on context, and with many layered safety systems in place that do not preclude the need for an extreme backup should the others all (unlikely) fail.

So I'll ask: what "unconstitutional" thing is happening right now?
Right now- there always something somewhere. Specifically? Nothing particularly new springs to mind on a national stage. War without war has been in the menu for awhile and a fun dodge of the constitution. Trump is claiming constitutional violation in making his tax records federal evidence, the constitutional violations at the border continue- under the wrongful idea that constitutional protections only apply to US citizens (the constitution clearly differentiates those things specific to citizens and those America is to apply to all humans...) Watch lists and surveillance as well as other measures of security etc like “enhanced interrogation” or unlawful detainment are still a thing- etc etc. but so far this week hasn’t been super huge for constitutional violations.
Nobody plays dumb better than guest_ so let me be more precise: what in the current impeachment process is as unconstitutional as the republicans claim?
I am re reading this thread and cannot see how or why you are asking about the impeachment. I don’t see anyone else mention or allude to it- or to it being in any way irregular? Or like.... is this a rhetorical set up thing? Like.... are we supposed to say: “I don’t know hammer. What’s unconstitutional about the impeachment?” Because if you think I’m PLAYING dumb- you’ve severely underestimated my ability to be confused by questions that are off topic.
@guest_ The one (1) posting before the one you answered in length...
Benito, I thought you wouldn't feed me? Your questions are irrelevant, cause there are words and I can read. If you only talked about shit you've personally seen, and only addressed the views of people you've actually met, you'd be pretty quiet, wouldn't you?
@halfdeadhammerhead- I do not see it? I see before me- a reply stating you are unaware of the constitution and it’s principals as applied to the current state of politics (I’m not agreeing you are unaware- just repeating what was said,) which could(?) be read to refer to unconstitutional goings on but could equally be read to reference the applicability of a system of checks and balances?
He's the one that brought up unconstitutional in regards to trump he's just a fucking troll and won't quote his own god damn self.

" the USA do in fact have means of checking the government, and some are working right now. It's what Trump's Minions (formerly known as GOP) like to call "witch hunt", "coup" or "unconstitutional"."
It somewhat depends doesn’t it? Many governments are designed to have a system of checks and balances of those in power. But.... who necessarily says that it’s a governments job to stop people from doing evil? That’s a question of societal priorities and philosophy isn’t it? Is it the governments job to enforce individual morality- or to create stability for a “canvas” of maximum individual freedom, or to ensure prosperity to citizens, or to further social, economic, or technological progress?
the government doesn't care about good or evil or cares about order and as close to "smooth sailing" functionality as you can get without disrupting the aforementioned order.
