Proverbs 8:1-36:
“Does not wisdom call? Does not understanding raise her voice? On the heights beside the way, at the crossroads she takes her stand; beside the gates in front of the town, at the entrance of the portals she cries aloud: “To you, O men, I call, and my cry is to the children of man. O simple ones, learn prudence; O fools, learn sense. ...”
We can keep going. And yes... there are LOTS of passages about ones body as a temple, trusting of over man, useless physicians etc. But... 1. If your body is a temple... shouldn’t you protect it..? 2. The Bible says trust god OVER man, not “don’t trust other people.” The Bible says nothing about vaccines being bad. If you drive a car, if you wear seat belts or have airbags or lock your doors- where are your arguments about “trusting god”? Let your kids go with ANYONE? Well... do you trust god more than man to protect them? Hmmm....
There are also WAAAAY more passages about loving your neighbor... you know... like by protecting them from deadly diseases? Oh- and several of those “bad physician” passages? They speak of physicians who speak lies and mistruths... like those who speak against vaccines.
If cars are so great, why aren't they mentioned in the Bible?
If TVs are so great, why aren't they mentioned in the Bible?
If fries are so great, why aren't they mentioned in the Bible?
If football is so great, why isn't it mentioned in the Bible?
If ACs are so great, why aren't they mentioned in the Bible?
If supermarkets are so great, why aren't they mentioned in the Bible?
Iirc the apple gave humans the ability to know good and evil... so they didn't before eating it so they and didn't know it was bad. So really the game was rigged from the start.
I mean, you make a pot out of clay. Ok. Now explain to the pot why it doesn’t have handles. Why isn’t it a beautiful sculpture of a horse? The clay won’t understand your answer regardless- it doesn’t have the mental ability to. “Why does God...” Ask god. Wait for an answer. You might have already gotten the answer and the same way as you can’t see infrared- you just couldn’t hear it. Or maybe you just weren’t paying attention and the answer is right in front of your face every day- the whole “plan” of the universe- and your inability to see t just proves that there isn’t any way a tiny human mind could understand the answer even if you gave it to them.
In a religious context “good” is the will of god, “evil” is anything else. That is the only moral compass one needs in Christian theology. In paradise there were no moral quandaries etc. one simply had to do as god said and enjoy life everyday. With a self guiding moral compass- one doesn’t make decisions based purely off what god says- they self determine what is right or wrong.
To put it another way- a blind man is on a plane and the pilot dies. He’s never driven a car or flown a plane. ATC is talking him down. ATC tells him to do something and he says: “I don’t think that’s right. I’ll do this instead...” then he likely promptly dies. Because the will and morality of an all seeing all knowing all powerful being that exists beyond time and space is likely more correct than your gut or your interpretation of an event. The basic idea there is that if God says its wrong- it’s wrong. If god says it is right- it is right. If you think you know better than that all powerful being- you’re a blind man landing a plane without help.

“And that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work.”
