For the longest time I hated any kids but when my cousins turned three idk man they were the cutest little shits. I still can’t tell them apart (twins) but I owe them so much. I may never have kids, I’m cool with that, however I can see why others choose to
Same here with my two nieces. I'm happy with being the loving aunt and babysitting for my siblings, friends, neighbours, whatevs. But I really don't need children myself.
I'm pretty sure I've talked about this in a comment section here with @mialinay, but it's been hypothesized that a certain % of the population are kind of supposed to feel that way. It makes sense if you think about it before we started civilizations; and even then, it makes sense... although it's need has been reduced. Parents WILL die, and it's a better survival strategy to have some around that can adopt. It's not even exclusive to humans or even singular to species.
I kinda want to see how different animals react to a Baby Yoda puppet; I hypothesize they have the same protective reaction we all did. I then want to test that reaction with a different set of animals that have Star Wars played on a loop on a tv screen in their cage for two days and test their reactions to a Baby Yoda doll after, and then I want repeat the experiment over a few times, because watching animal reactions to Yoda and Baby Yoda would never get old.
I'd also like to add a 3rd sample group where humans watch Star Wars with the animals and react to Yoda himself, and see how that influences their reactions to the puppet Baby Yoda.
Basically, will they recognize it's Baby Yoda? Will they recognize we love Yoda? Will they recognize Yoda is awesome on their own? These are the real questions.
I’m glad I have a niece. I love her to death but her existence also reaffirmed the fact that I truly truly want none of my own and I’m so glad I met someone that feels the same way or it could’ve been tricky. I have the strong urge to take care of pets but not children, I think cause they are in comparison less of a responsibility. Plus I couldn’t give one a good life financially either. I just dream of career goals and traveling around doing whatever I was interested in at the time which is also not really something I can truly pursue with a kid. I like that there are more forever the uncle/aunt never the parent people XD
If anything, I’ll adopt
