I used to have a pet Grackle I raised from a baby. I found it one day it fell from its nest. It's common to see that because Grackles lay their eggs in other birds nests with other birds eggs and if the other mom is smaller than a Grackle they kick the babies out thinking they are old enough.
Anyways lol I lived in the country at the time so if you ever did you know mice happen alot. Well my Grackle was in his cage and I see him dropping food on purpose in the bottom of his cage. And I am thinking maybe he doesn't like his food. But he is just sitting there watching the food he dropped. Than here comes a small little mouse. It creeps up to the food my bird dropped and starts to eat. The moment I hear it eating my bird pounces on top of it. He starts whipping it by the tail till it is dead. At that moment one my cats run up to the cage and my bird pushes the mouse out of the cage with his beak and the car below grabs it and runs off to eat it.
I still unsure what I witnessed lol

Do you think animals know when their owner is suffering? My mum died of cancer in 2011 and within a week my dog and cat died even though they were in good health. They looked very depressed right after the death.
My grandfather died in the hospital and the day of his funeral we all came back to his house and his cat who only EVER let him pet was found died in his car. It was curled up in a ball as if it was in his lap. It was in good health it was a bit old yes but it was healthy and nothing else was wrong. We all assumed it died of a broken heart.
I had a dog that was terrifyingly brilliant. “They” always say that dogs don’t understand mirrors. And I’ve certainly met my share of dogs that very much don’t. But Maggie did. And not just in the hey-that’s-my-reflection sort of way.
I have a long wardrobe mirror and she was laying in front of it. We made eye contact in the mirror. Thinking I was going to trick her, I gestured like I was stalking her. I was going to grab her, and I expected her to rush toward the mirror as I did, but instead she flipped and crashed right into me. And I was so surprised because she knew right where I was and was watching it in the mirror.
