Iirc, using your VCR to rewind could damage the tape by causing jams or tangles.

The VCR was much slower to do a tape. The rewinders could knock out the job in a couple minutes, and they sounded like a jet taking off.

We didn’t have rewinders. If it got tangled we fixed it by hand XD
