To avoid such injuries when a vehicle crashes my pro tip is:
Do not place your feet on the dash, instead, make sure your feet, and the rest of you, are not in a vehicle that crashes. This will not avoid all possibility of injury, but will substantially increase your odds of avoiding injuries compared to a person who did not make sure they were not in a vehicle that was going to crash.
This makes me a little sick to my stomach.
[not nearly as bad] reminds me of the time that my spouse had the elbow bursa removed and I had to pack sponges around the bone. *shudders* you aren’t supposed to be able to touch/see the bones.
