Isn't it sad to think our only purpose in life would be reproducing?
Yeah, "God" or nature, whatever you believe in, might've given us reproductive organs to have children.
But we also have
Brains - for thinking and inventing
Hands - for creating and building
Mouths - for educating
Ears - for learning
Muscles - to train them and become athletic
And so much more.
So how would we waste our life by choosing to indulge in one of the other opportunities we've been given besides the ability to have offspring? (not to mention infertile people)
I'd like to mention that I tried to apply her own logic. I don't really believe in God or a purpose in life, but it irks me when people try and tell me what to do with mine.
Yeah. If we follow the logic what were men built to do? Impregnate women and do push-ups? There’s a lot more to the average day that making babies and doing push-ups. I feel like maybe our genitals aren’t the best way to decide our purpose in life. Kinda like a battery right? Positive terminal, negative terminal- it decides what side of the device the thing goes in but it doesn’t determine what you can do with the battery no?
I mean- let’s again- use the logic here- and THIS ISNT MY OPINION- but let’s play “old timey gender roles” and say: women make babies and while they make and raise babies- men hunt and fight and build houses and shit. Ok. But like... if we are going to say women can’t do the hunting and building since they are down 9 months at a time making babies... wouldn’t the gender role that makes sense be that women would be the knowers? The architects and managers and CEOS and leaders and scientists? Since you know... 4 kids, 9 moths at a time- why would you take a hunter off the hunt to learn physics when this role sticks women at home... the perfect place... to learn....?
The logic is weak to me because that whole “women are supposed to be the care takers and life givers” guff doesn’t make sense with a social value that takes fit men who are supposedly the “hunters and defenders and builders” and puts them in administrative and technical roles. If we use her logic... would women- who raised every man in such a society- created every person, and had experience multitasking and remembering and being diplomats and leaders... wouldn’t they be the ones who should be in charge?
I think it’s better when we can all choose a path in life that fits us- but I’m just saying this whole “women are baby factories” thing doesn’t make sense when the division of labor is: women: make babies and listen to men. Men: do EVERYTHING else and be in charge” is the default standard. To each their own- if one has the choice and chooses to see their purpose as making and easing children- PHDS need kids to teach so good on them, but teaching girls that when they grow up they exist to make babies- or pressuring women to see their value as a uterus.... naw. Pass.
The transformed wife is horrid. I recommend some reaction videos to her by for example Mr Atheist. She's just the worst, she thinks marital rape doesn't exist and wives should give their husband sex even if they don't feel like it and of course women shouldn't seek education or a career because it's a "men's calling" while women are just supposed to birth and raise kids and do whatever the husband says... she's just a nightmare. Not to mention hypocritical because she has a career on YouTube.
Literally. anything. For me. The last bit being the most important part of this. I don’t want kids and the world has enough, therefore should I bring a kid into this life just so I am miserable and in turn the kid is miserable? It’s great if you feel that way and think your life is unfulfilled otherwise, but I’m good
If I'm having kids I'm definitely adopting. And I'll try and adopt a teen/teens because I know that they often get left until they're old enough to go out into the world where as kids are more often adopted because they're cuter and easier and I guess most adoptive parents want more time with their kids before they're old enough to move out.
I cannot possibly believe that somewhere on my own planet people truly are committed with this kind of idiotic logic when concerning education. Do some people really spend time finding a correlation between their level of education and sex? Does it matter in ways I’m not aware of?

I was just talking about the author of the tweet in the post
