Isn't that what depression is?

No, depression is a continuous state of low mood that lasts for more than 2 weeks. If you don't feel anything at all, you may just be a psychopath. (They tend to be considerably more dangerous)

When I was on antidepressants, I struggled to feel anything. It was like a thick layer of snow had fallen over all my emotions. They were there somewhere underneath, but all I could feel was muffled - softly, silently. No despair, no joy, no envy, no fear. Complacency and apathy.

That's also a possibility. Very beautifully put, by the way.

Complete apathy is one of the stages I hit in deep depression. It’s below “constant weeping” and just above “forgot to eat this week.”

I'm like Bruce Banner, I'm always angry. I just don't have the (sometimes) useful green giant transformation.

I win. I don't feel anything until Mr. Bottle tells me how I feel.

That’s what being depressed entails
