I don’t hate rap I don’t LOVE it I am about middle on rap. I even have a few songs I like and artist. But my husband gets into this mood where he wants to hear the same handful of songs day in day out and it drives me insane.
And by the way my favorite type of music is 80s to 40s music and my husband makes fun of it all the time. My kid and husband can blast what ever song or type of music they like but god forbid I want to hear a beach boys or blonde or even worse Elvis lol
also, would this imply that wherever I went, if they were playing rap "music", would it immediately stop so i couldn't hear it? I'd be going to the concerts just to watch them figure out why the speakers stopped working.
Good question. Also, what exactly qualifies as rap in this day and age?

Rap is more a style or instrument for lack of better words that is used in several genres, e.g. hip hop, grime, and in some instances pop. I think that as a result anything with rhythmic spoken word would count, whereas genres like trap wouldn't necessarily be included despite their close connections
