It begs a question- in a climate of such division and often hate between ideologies and those who support, or do not, one of the nations most divisive presidents- could the person hanging these fliers not only 1. Be aware this is stupid and dangerous; and 2. Not subscribe to the ideologies the flier forwards; instead they are against them and the “type” of person they feel this flier would attract- and have deliberately set up a “trap” in order to expose people who would see and support this, to life threatening danger?
The writing is just so “on the nose” and the sentiments so ignorant that it seems satirical. “Bring your children...” “non essential workers..” is it a “conservative blue collar” message targeting like minds- or is it someone else targeting “conservative blue collar” folks because they have issues with the stereotype of that group? The beauty and the disgusting thing is that I could see it being either- and if it is a set up- the person who wrote it is aware as well.
Last comment- fun fact. Many of those scam messages aren’t written terribly and so transparent to scrutiny because the scammers are dumb. It is often intentional. The person that replies to a well crafted scam notice may be smart enough to not go all the way. It takes more work to get them to your pay day. The person that bites on the poorly written scam has generally already “passed” the test of being foolish or optimistic or desperate enough to jump in. They screen for “low hanging fruit” that will make the actual part where they scam you easier. This smacks of that same sort of spirit- and one could always possibly claim excuse from liability on the grounds it was obviously satire which no reasonable person would take seriously...
I know this is most likely wishful thinking, but I hope the surviving extros learn from this, and realize that forcing introverts to go outside is just as maddening to the latter as this lockdown is to the former.
