If you’re just upset you can’t be a Shepard and live in the middle of nowhere- that doesn’t even take much money. Afghanistan, Lesotho, there are places all over the world where one can find land and affordable livestock to set up such a life, even if their native country is prohibitive. The largest factors in blocking your “pastoral life” are simply population (relates to industry- but not caused by industry) and yourself- your desire for a specific location or the fact you don’t actually WANT a pastoral lifestyle because you’d have to give up much of your modern conveniences.

We need to live like the mongolians. Sheep herding with motorbikes and highspeed internet access. vroom vroom BAAAAAAAAH
