This guy was literally fine after so this was a very poor example to use.
.
Something I find interesting. The Chinese government literally put bars on buildings to stop people from leaving and that was considered inhumane and tyranical. Other governments make all the same threats without the bars and people laud them as heroes.
.
A man was put under house arretst with police guarding his house refusing to allow him to leave. He had never been tested for corona, and never had a trial, but they forced him to stay in his home anYway.
.
A family had a mere thought their mom/wife might have had the virus so they held her prisoner in the bathroom. She tested negative btw, not that anyone cares.
.
A girl had gone on a school trip at the start of the outbreak. When she came back she had all the symptoms but could not get tested. When she finally DID get tested the doctors told her it came back negative, but that she had likely just missed the window for testing.
They told her in all likelihood she did have the virus. She posted a photo on Instagram saying she's recovered from the virus. Her parents phoned the school to let them know so they could at least warn the other students that had been on the trip. The school responded by calling her a liar and then calling the police. They threatened to arrest her if she didn't take her Instagram post down.

One of the governor's has rerpeatedly violated the American constitution and now made it impossible to hold her answerable in court for doing so.
.
Another Governor recently tried to open a lake so her husband could go boating for memorial day weekend.
.
Ppeopleare being arrested for getting their hair cut - A situation that largely involves soap and hot water - but bus drivers are being told they must continue working in their very unsanitary environments.
.
I could go on but at this point if you don't see the problem you're never going to
So where is the line? Is it only when there's an actual physical manifestation that people will acknowledge when it stops being a suggestion, and starts being corruption?
.
And you can be okay with this. But at this point, if you don't see the corruption and, yes, "for-your-own-good-tyranny" it's because you're making a conscious decision not to.
@famousone I'm honestly insanely curious. If all these governors and such decide to just... not give people their freedoms back. What is their plan?
.
Not talking about you, more the "everything-the-government-says-is-fine-so-long-as-i-don't-get-corona" crowd.
I suppose I'm more the "My oath doesn't haven an expiration date or exceptive clause" kind of guy.
The rest? They'll enjoy their gilded cages until me and mine drag them kicking and screaming out of their burning prisons.
But..... tornado isn’t contagious.... like... you CAN go out in a tornado if you want to take the risk... but if you come back and are like “yeah. I’m fine.” A tornado isn’t going to burst from your body once you’re back in the house, and then affect everyone else you live with.
A tornado is typically here and gone within a day and then recovery can start. People have been out of work for three months. Not everyone can afford to stay home much longer.
I lived in Saskatchewan for awhile. Often had small tornados near the city limits every couple of weeks in the spring and summer. Never once was forced to stay inside - they just highly recommend
Um yeah. It is tyranny. Individuals need to choose their own risk the way they need to be responsible for their own safety. Stop shaming people for trying to live their lives.
