So true story. This kind of thing happens all the time. You have different uniforms. You are required to wear which uniform as determined by your superiors for whatever activity you are doing. Your main uniform is probably designed to blend in. This is great for when you don't want to get shot. Turns out it's not so great when you're marching down the road and don't want to get hit by a car because the driver isn't paying enough attention. Hence the high visibility vest or pt belt over a uniform. So you don't want to be seen accept when you do want to be seen because being seen is better than not being seen. But, you have to wear the uniform designed to not be seen so you need to wear something else to be seen when you need to be seen and not not seen. Welcome to the military.
We’ve all been there, or find ourselves there I’m sure. We want to disappear, be left alone, but still want to be noticed. As performance art it’s brilliant.
