This is how I understood it. There was a meme circulating around a few years back which posed a question. You and a super intelligent snail both get 1 million dollars, and you both become immortal, however you die if the snail touches you. It always knows where you are and slowly crawls towards you. What's your plan? It attracted over 10 thousand replies, and most people were trying to rules-lawyer their way out of the scenario, with people coming up with solutions like; launch it into space, fly to Hawaii, or most simply, put it in a box.
So.... The snail gets immortality and money, but is never allowed to enjoy any of it, because it is doomed to chase down some stupid human for the entirety of it's life?

Sad day for Mr. Snail
I mean, it is hyper-intelligent, so you just have to wait for it to realise the moral and ethical dilemmas of immortality and leave it paralysed by responsibility.

[Also why does the snail want to kill you?]

The thread is worth a read if you have some time to waste.
