Thank God vaccines are getting rolled out. So far, not one person who has been vaccinated has died or been hospitalized due to COVID. That is freaking phenomenal.
My kid’s school is trying to go off and on back to school 3 days of real school 2 online.
Thing is last year a week before school started we moved to a new city.
Our kid has been going to her old school using the online classes.
So there is no way we can take her.
Luckily they offering an online option. But the teachers no longer be there just an assigned a person they have to check in with. And the kids have to do the work turn it in and just do check in.
And well honestly even if we didn’t move I still refuse to let her go to school.
She is in jr high and still getting used to having tics in public (She has Tourettes) plus I am a high risk due to lung issues. So no my kid isn’t going till next year.
We’ve been back since August. 4 days a week. Friday is “distance learning”. We’ve had fewer kids out with regular illnesses than ever. Teachers are less sick also. Wearing the masks (and disinfecting all the time) has kept us healthier. Most of the kids are better at wearing masks than some adults.
My mom works at a middle school and they've had multiple kids get it post winter break, the high school near them had a whole class go into quarantine because of a found case that had been going on for over a week. I don't want to go into the details for what I've heard but some of the cases (like how they caught it, when the caught it and what not) was some of the dumbest cases of humanity I've heard in a while
Yes, they make small masks. I know, because I accidentally bought some and unsuccessfully tried to put one on for, frankly, an embarrassing amount of time.
