Implying? Whatever do you mean? I was just saying that happened in WWII could never happen again because everyone learned their lesson, especially people in the US. And that's true, isn't it?
It honestly doesn't sound like you DID speak plainly.
`
It sounds like you were implying the desire to witness Hitler giving a speech is something that is:
`
1) expected
2) equates to meaning that Americans (and the Irish apparently, unless you are singling famousone out exclusively) - want to see a second world war and the rise of Nazidom
Not really. I just have other things to do. You know people's lives don't revolve around meme sites, right? But I will agree that what you said is far more interesting than anything I could say.
You've had... 3 hours? And returned to the post repeatedly in that time frame? And you've literally responded repeatedly to people expressing their desire for you to clarify what you're saying as well?
`
So that logic falls fairly flat, but if that's the story you want to go with I guess?
Nazism is the enemy of humanity and preparation for genocide. The best nazi is one who's realized how bad Nazism is and changed their ways but lacking that killing Nazis is self defence.
Nazism aims to "purify the race" by murdering anyone who doesn't fit. Under Nazism I, my family, my friends and about two thirds of the human population would be murdered. Hitler wrote as much in "Mein Kampf".
Personally, I don't go around looking for Nazis to kill. I'm nice like that. Unlike the Nazis who occasionally post my name and address along with words like "race traitor", "traitor to the nation", "faggot" and "enemy" and suggestions as to how people like me are best dealt with.
Currently there are very few Nazis and we have a halfway safe society but these things change.
To be clear, killing Nazis is not my first choice. I've worked as hard as I can these last twenty years to prevent fascist ideologies from spreading through civil and legal means. I would prefer if people were convinced that democracy and human rights are the better way. The best Nazi would be one who's realized the value of human life and the danger of fascist elitist ideologies.
We don't always get the best in this world. Best to accept and prepare, lest the state tries to load you into a train, or have your people walk a trail of tears.
None of what you said actually changes my statement?
`
There's people out there who may think I should be killed for the color of my skin, or my gender, or my words, or my heritage, or my politics, or the memes I post, or my religious beliefs, or because I sneezed incorrectly.
`
They can believe that if they want to. If they don't act on it, I have no more right to put them to death than they have the right to kill me.
`
Anyone wanting to institute a society where people can be killed for thought crimes should consider leading by example and start with themselves
I'll pretend for a second that you actually give a shit about my answer.
`
I'm not defending Nazis rights to exist. I'm defending everyone's right to exist. Nazis just happen to be the ones people are advocating to kill right now. If people were saying this about Muslims, or women, or the CCP, or the Catholic church, or Antifa, I'd be saying the same thing.
`
`
I find it interesting that you focus more on the fact that Nazis are somehow involved in this than the fact that people are openly advocating for murder against people who may not have committed an actual crime.
`
Why is anyone defending the act of KILLING someone for their THOUGHTS?
`
People think horrible things all the time. People say horrible things often as well. Unless they are actively partaking in a crime - and not just a crime, but a crime of such magnitude as to deserve the death penalty - no, I don't think they should be killed.
Involved in what..? I don’t think anything I just know every time there’s a post about nazis, I know who and what to expect in the comment section, and I was wondering why you seem devoted to this subject. I’m not arguing with you, you’re not wrong but I find it problematic allowing hate to have a voice. Do I believe others should die for their hateful beliefs? No, but sounds like a tense fucking society if the bar is as low as “as long as they don’t murder me, we’re cool”
Involved in this discussion..? Everyone is focusing on the fact that because a person is [Nazi] that takes precedent over any other aspect of the conversation.
`
If you already know who and what you will find, why bother clicking into them at all? Arguably I should ask why you're focusing on Nazi posts to the extent you claim to be?
`
And, no, once again:
I didn't say "as long as you don't murder we're cool." I said "hey, I may not agree with the way you THINK the world should be, but that doesn't mean I think people should murder you over it either."
`
And honestly not every actionable crime deserves a death sentence either. A Nazi spraypaints a swastika on a public building. Should they be punished for that? Yeah. Should they be killed? No.
`
A group kidnapping someone, dragging them into the street, curbstomping them repeatedly to the point they may never wake up? That may actually be a death penalty crime.
The hypersensitivity and overreactions and overpunishment of perceived crimes create for a far more problematic world than the one where you can't kill someone because you disagree with them.
`
It's a far tenser society for people to live in fear of every word they say and every thing they do. Just ask China.
`
And what subject is it you think I'm devoted to, exactly?
@xvarnah When it comes to Nazism I don't care about your statements or arguments because they normalize that which must not be normalized.
We can argue all day about how many died under Soviet communism or post colonial capitalism but those systems kill by not allowing people access to basic necessities due to poor values and corruption.
Nazism kills intentionally and by design. It fights to murder everyone and everything you and I hold dear. Of course the penalty must be proportionate but what should the penalty be for promoting the idea of genocide?
My posts fight to normalize nothing.
`
They fight against your bizarre desire to murder people for the apparently unforgivable crime of disagreeing with you.
`
And you tell me. You are literally advocating for genocide right now lol
And for the record - no we can't argue all day about who died under what. I never started doing that, and it's irrelevant to my point.
`
YOU can continue to argue with yourself about things I never said if that makes you happy (you make a habit of it so I assume it does spark joy for you somehow). Your tangents are irrelevant to anything I have said, no matter how try to use them to justify murdering people you dislike
`
There are people in prison right now for torture, rape, and murder. There are women (and probably men, but we'll stereotype) who write them letters that tell them everyday how hot they think what they did was, how much they support them, how bad they want to have their little serial killer babies.
`
Not one of those women should be put to death for that.
`
You'll never convince me that killing someone for the crimes other people committed is justified either. So please stop trying. All it does is make YOU look terrified, unreasonable, and honestly a bit deranged
@karlboll
Xvarnah has done and said nothing to normalize or even defend nazism. She's not the one advocating to kill people for thinking wrong, or otherwise punish what hasn't happened.
Don't muddy the conversation by bringing up communism or capitalism, you are straight up calling for punishing just ideas! When is the next book burning? Do I get leniency if I cooperate with your not-gestapo?
I'm starting to see that the practical difference between Nazis and people who would punish them for thinking or saying things without action, is honesty.
`
