I see what you are saying. We should be proud of who we are. However, I feel that some people will define being gay/ black or part of any oppressed group as being the only highlight of their personality. Somehow, you need an armor to navigate on this world. If you are not oppressed this means you cannot say shit. That is my opinion and I could be wrong. Take me for instance, I'm a straight dude and but that's not all that I am.

Be proud of yourself....but only if people you've never met did bad things to people you've never known.....
