Let's face it. Most women characters outmatch their male counter parts. Think this is indicative of life. Women just tend to be better at alot of shit. Yall ever tried to play tekken through with a male character. girl with skimpy cloths and Japanese fans will kick your ass 72/73 times.
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying guys aren't good at shit. But go ahead try and plan, multitasking, organizing, and hiding a body 9/10 times a woman is going to have better ideas. Just saying.
I've played through as armor king, king and yoshimitsu, but as lily it's straight up ez mode. and i have her dressed as a demon bat schoolgirl now one one and the other version is just best augments for murking thing. It's funny, everyone knows i'ma do the cartwheel combo, slap them, low kick into a high kick, move right, cartwheel combo, slap them... and there's not a goddamn thing they can do about it.. it's so unfair... i've been accused of button mashing so many times, but that's not true, I know exactly what i'm doing. I ignore grapples on her just cuz the time/damage effort isn't worth it. I grapple on king and armor king all the time, that and those punches are their strengths, you just gotta be real methodical. With yoshimitsu it's helicopter mode and just being entirely unpredictable. The tri kick combo is especial dangerous, and he can dodge faster than anyone, you just need to make sure you don't overuse it and kill yourself.
or purposefully kill yourself and take them with you if you see you'll lose that round. I know i went from main game to just matches, but w/e, most of that holds for both modes.
edit: also with yoshimitsu, if you let him heal himself it's game over.... but people quickly learn to stop that.
Truth. I love Danvers, but she's prone to alcoholism and month long blackouts when she goes binary mode (granted she fucks EVERYTHING around her up in binary mode, and easily becomes a top 5 most powerful marvel character, she's so goddamn unstable. Ripley is just a natural badass... and Rey, as much as I like Daisy, is just a stupidly written character.
Too much fixation on male audience here, bc a lot of female characters just exist for the male gaze, and then chars like Carol Denvers were filmed seemingly with one goal in mind and that's to be 'better' than what men expected, but thats not what makes a character good or interesting or strong. But then female characters who are written with real character development, like Ripley, shocker, are more interesting. They exist for the story, they're multidimensional. (I think some very likeable fem chars are also written in movies with the female gaze, that is, written from the perspective of women without a sexual component, where their male counterparts are written specifically with a sexual component, also achieve the same thing)
