The women firefighters in the city that my father works in alongside are required the same tests as everyone else. They don't care about gender when you're saving lives.
Yes they have lowered things such as push-ups and sit-ups. Other than that it's kinda equal. My mom was in the army and she only ever had to do the same as men because she would break the rules.
And women actually have to pass the same tests as men to join the same troop or fulfil the same role, so... what's the point of this image?
Why would this even be an unpopular opinion, as the meme suggests?
There's a ton of pressure on the Marines (and the other branches, it's just that the Marines have been in the news about this the most) to lower requirements because barely any women are passing them. "The Obama administration" (I wish I had less nebulous words, but that's all I can find in articles) are pushing for a rule saying "If it's too hard for women, you need to explain why it's hard, and if we don't agree, we're going to make you lower it." But currently, you are correct, they have to complete the same tests.
I will not be in the army if I cant pass the same fucking tests as everyone else. Shit the same if I want to, the army of a country is there to help the country if there will be war. I would never want to let sweden down.

That was exactly the point that G.I. Jane was making- and she completed her training, just like the women in combat today. I don't know where this meme is referring to but it's not Canada!
Aren't the army tests in place to ensure that those who fight are in peak physical condition? For the same job, peak physical condition is still different for both men and women. It's based on biological differences. This isn't to say that women can't meet the same standards as men if they personally want to; but the base level of their peak physical condition should be set according to their body's biology.
