Leaving a family member out and not cooking breakfast for them? That's not funny, it's fucking cold. It's also un-Christian and his pastor should slap him for it.
Am I though? Many Christians that I've met are generally good and decent people. Progressive as it gets when it comes to that faith and are turning their back away from the stricter doctrine.
I have however had the displeasure of encountering the "ones you hear about," that give them a bad name. The asshole that wrote that note is one of them.
This is something my boyfriend or I would do as a joke to tease or poke fun at one another. Never in a spiteful way. You don't know this couple, they could very well be doing it to poke fun as well.

I think "You don't know this couple" is the most important part of this comment^
This is something my grandma would pull. She was so religious she was the piano lady, the head sunday school teacher, the bible camp head counciler, the secretary of the meetings, the manger of the church janitors, in the church choir, kid choir teacher, head choir teacher, the head of the Ministry meetings, and sooo much more. Those who knew her said she was running that whole church. Only thing she didn't do is write the preacher's sermon. lol
Marriages that are divided spiritually are very challenging. :( His act (however clear his point) was not a kind one at all. We're all God's children of whom He loves all of us.
A joke.
